Customer success consulting

Build the proposal around the accounts they are afraid of losing.

Customer success consultants are hired when renewals surprise the founder. Name the segment, the moment a customer goes quiet, and the cadence you will install so the team sees it earlier.

The accounts they are afraid of losing

Ask which customers would hurt if they left this quarter. Write the segment, not the logo, unless they want a named save in the scope. A proposal about 'customer centricity' will be nodded at. A proposal about the mid-market accounts that go silent sixty days before renewal will be forwarded to the person who owns those accounts.

Say what the team does today when an account is unhappy. Often the answer is nothing until the cancellation email. The engagement is the installation of an earlier moment, with an owner. It is not a rebrand of the support inbox.

The moment a customer goes quiet

Define quiet in their product or their contract. No login for three weeks. No campaign sent. A champion who left. Pick one signal they can actually see with the tools they have. A health score built on data they do not collect is a science project.

Renewal negotiation, a new onboarding redesign, and a community program can all hide inside 'customer success'. Pick the cadence. A monthly review of the named segment, with a note on who calls whom, is a finishable engagement. The rest can be a second proposal after the first renewal cycle under the new habit.
