Ecommerce consulting

Separate the store, the ads, and the warehouse.

Ecommerce consultants are hired when revenue is up and the operation is not keeping the promise the site makes. Pick the break: conversion, fulfillment, or margin. Leave the other two out unless they are the same problem.

Store, ads, or warehouse

Write which break you are there for. The product page that does not answer the question every review asks. The cut-off time the site still promises after the warehouse has missed it. The discount code that has become the only way a full-price item sells. One of these is an engagement. All three is a interim executive role, and it should be priced as one.

Name the platform and the volume in plain figures. Orders a week, the share that is returned, the share that is discounted. A proposal without those figures is a template. If you do not have them yet, say the first week produces them and the rest of the work depends on what they show.

Leave the other two out

Media buying, a replatform, and a warehouse move are the three ways an ecommerce proposal becomes unfinishable. Exclude them in sentences the founder can repeat to a spouse. You can recommend one. You are not doing it inside this fee.

The outcome should be visible on a number they already watch. Conversion on the named template. On-time dispatch against the cut-off. Full-price share. Pick the number that matches the break, and do not add a second number to look thorough.
