Healthcare operations

Write for a clinic manager who has twenty minutes.

Consultants in healthcare operations are hired when the schedule, the billing, or the front desk is losing the day. Skip the transformation narrative. Name the queue, the handoff, or the denial, and the week it should look different.

Twenty minutes between sessions

The reader is standing up. Short sections, the clinic's own words, no maturity model. Name the site. A single practice is not a hospital group, and a proposal that uses the language of a health system will be ignored by the practice manager who emailed you.

Clinical judgment stays with clinicians. Your scope is the flow around it: how a patient moves, how a claim is assembled, how a result gets to the person who must see it. Write that limit in the first page so you are not later accused of practicing a profession you do not hold.

The queue, the handoff, or the denial

Pick one. The morning queue at reception. The handoff between the scan and the report. The denials that come back for the same missing field. A proposal that takes all three will not finish inside a timeline a clinic can tolerate, because every hour you are on site is an hour in their corridor.

Say which sessions you will observe and that you will not observe care that a patient has not agreed to have a stranger watch. The outcome is an operational change the manager can run the following week, described as a change in the queue, the form, or the rota, not as a culture program.
